We took a vacation last week to a different part of our lovely state. We saw several moose, a fox, a couple of tom turkeys, and I spotted our first-ever live, non-captive porcupine. I only got photos of moose.
Nice! You forgot to show them to me when we were there. (I, of course, forgot to ask to see them when we got back to the house, so I'm as much to blame.)
Was #3 lame (hind leg), or is that just a camera trick?
Two things are happening: 1) The left hind leg is hidden behind the right front leg. 2) A moose's hind leg is narrow from side to side and considerably broader from front to back. The right hind leg just happens to be at such an angle that you're seeing its thinnest cross section.
As far as I know, the moose was in perfect health.
